I want to make sure we are able to pass on an increasingly natural landscape on Ben Lomond, where nature, in the form of the natural habitats of the hill, and the wildlife inhabiting them, has more of its rightful place on the mountain. Along with this however, I want to pass on the long human attachment to Ben Lomond, and the fact that we have long made use of the mountain for supporting livelihoods as well as enjoyment. It should be possible to achieve a balance between our use of the landscape, whilst sustaining the natural habitats and wildlife of that place It has been there before, and it is through the work of the Trust and other organisations that we can find it again.
