Celebration by: Sarah Armstrong

Date added: 7 Feb 2010

Tony became a committed supporter of various charities set up to help the visually impaired when one of his long-term colleagues developed difficulties with his sight. The first guide dog he sponsored had the same name as his mother's maiden name. He took it as a sign! Tony was a big fan of technology and the internet, and he would be very impressed by this new on-line memorial book.

Tony would not want or approve of a plaque or memorial stone somewhere. He did not hold with that kind of thing. That was Tony. Ever practical and not at all sentimental. But that is not the same thing as not caring. Although not perfect, he loved and was loved by his friends and family. He will always be missed.
