Dear Family and Friends, As a way remembering those that fought at Waterloo in June 1815 including $personFirstName$, our school has created a page within the $bookTitle$. Please contribute by adding your thoughts, messages, photographs or even videos about this soldier. Add your insight or expertise to help build and lock-in our knowledge about this person, simply go to: $findPersonLink$. and make your contribution too. Thank you,

Private Thomas Turnham was discharged from the 13th Light Dragoons on the 5th July 1820, aged 41, and received a pension of 1 shilling a week until he died on 30th June 1851. He had served in the 13th Light Dragoons for 22 years. Thomas Turnham's discharge papers show that he became a servant after he left the army.

We have not been able to find out definitely whether Thomas Turnham ever married or had children.  However, the census of 1851, shows a Thomas Turnham, a pensioner aged 74, living in Charles St, Westminster with his wife Eliza.  This could be our Thomas Turnham - maybe one day we will know for sure!
