My old mate Geoff passed away on 25th October 2014 at the age of 70.
He leaves his lovely wife Sue, his son Gareth and daughter-in-law Kath, and his two grandsons George and Charlie. I know that he absolutely adored them all.
Geoff had been ill for a short time and his sudden death came as a shock to his family and everyone who knew him.

I first met Geoff when he joined 225 Signal Squadron (BAOR) in 1963 when it was based in Mercury Barracks alongside 13th Signal Regt, and then when it subsequently moved to Scharfoldendorf in 1964.
We met up again in 9th Signal Regt. in Cyprus in 1967, and it was the same year that he gave me the honour of being his best man when he married Sue. We have been friends ever since. They were married for 47 years.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Sue, Gareth and family at this very sad time.

R.I.P. Geoff, we shall miss you lots.
