Thank you,

During the time Derek lived in Wijhe (Holland) we had a great time and friendship.Birdwatching, hiking, visiting musea, pooling, and: much fun and laughter.Unfortunately Derek moved to the south near his daughter and we lost a bit of contact. Until one evening I felt a very strong need of calling him. His daughter answered the phone and told me Derek had suddenly died the night before...........The message Derek send me after he died did come to me.Dear Derek, I miss you and your sense of humor every day!I wish some familymember contacts me for sharing the pain and sorrow.........

I served with Derek at 1 Div HQ & Sig Regt in the early '70's where he was a Cpl in 3 Squadron line troop. A typical lineman who worked and played hard, salt of the Corps.
