Served with the Royal Corps Signals from 23 Nov 1962 until 24 Nov 1984.

On April 1st 2016 John was told that he was terminally ill with liver cancer he had become ill shortly beforehand. He died at 0214 hrs on 9th May in the home he loved in Halesworth, Suffolk. He was lovingly cared for throughout by his wife Jan and a superb Palliative care team and our District Nurses.
