Able Seaman Peter John Keith ALLENGAME is one of the 372 British Servicemen who died on active service during the four-year Cyprus Emergency April 1 1955 to April 18 1959, and whose name is among those remembered with honour on the British Cyprus Memorial. Serving with the Royal Navy, aged 22 and from Folkestone, he was one of three crewmen drowned on February 26 1958 when their motor launch capsized while ferrying men from HMS Alamein to search a Greek trawler suspected of smuggling arms.
