Albert and I were schoolpals at junior school and lived close to each other, Albert in Bromhall Road and me in Porters Avenue, Dagenham. We both served in the Royal Military Police. I have a photo of us together at my 13th birthday party. For many years I have made it my quest to contact ex RMP members who knew or served with Albert, and am grateful for those who took the trouble to contact me. Lately I have, thanks to three ex members, been able to get to the bottom of the circumstances surrounding the ambush in which Albert took a head wound which was to prove fatal the following day. Albert I've tried so hard to find answers to what happened to you, it was something I felt I had to do. God Bless mate.

I'm sure Albert has made it possible for me to finally be in touch with the guys who were at Gib Barracks who like me will never forget Albert or his rendering of "Sentimental Journey". Still remains fresh in my mind to this day.
Remenbering also George Todd (Toddy) at this time.
