Remembrance by: The British Cyprus Memorial Trust

Staff Sgt Donald Benjamin Charles TROWBRIDGE is one of the 372 British Servicemen who died on active service during the four-year Cyprus Emergency April 1 1955 to April 18 1959, and whose name is among those remembered with honour on the British Cyprus Memorial. Serving with the Royal Signals he was killed when a terrorist gunmen shot him in his private car in St. Andrew’s Street, Limassol, on November 9 1956. Aged 25 from Fareham Hampshire he is buried at Wayne’s Keep, the British military cemetery in Cyprus, Plot 23 Row D Grave 2.
