I attended Brians funeral in 1958, we were billeted together in 51 Brigade at Famagusta. Together we were responsible for the armouries of the RMP and the Royal Signals, as a result we became close friends and spent alot of time together especially as we were both on call 24/7.
I was devastated when he was taken from us so tragically. Even after 50 years I still look back and have such fond memories of the laughs we had. What a great guy.
After a number of visits to Southern Cyprus I have now been able to arrange a visit which will enable me to pay my respects to my dear friend at Waynes Keep on the 29th of this month.
I am so pleased to see that he has been awarded the Elizabeth Cross.
To Frank and Brian you certainly have the right to be proud of him.
FOR ME JUST TO HAVE KNOWN HIM WAS A PRIVILEDGE

I must pay my respects to my schoolmate young Brian on this rememberance sunday. I last saw Brian while i was waiting for a bus at Chequers Heathway Dagenham about 1951 at8.30 in the morning, and along came Brian, i think if i remember he was going home from shiftwork,he had a satchell over his shoulder, we said our hello's and he carried on his way home. You are sadly missed Brian but not forgotten.
