Fusilier Brian Francis WALTERS is one of the 372 British Servicemen who died on active service during the four-year Cyprus Emergency April 1 1955 to April 18 1959, and whose name is among those remembered with honour on the British Cyprus Memorial. Serving with the Lancashire Fusiliers he died as a result of a road accident on September 13 1957. Aged 19 from Manchester he is buried at Wayne’s Keep, the British military cemetery in Cyprus, Plot 24 Row C Grave 11.
