Sgt Alexander Mills BROWN is one of the 372 British Servicemen who died on active service during the four-year Cyprus Emergency April 1 1955 to April 18 1959, and whose name is among those remembered with honour on the British Cyprus Memorial. Serving with the RAF, from RAF Abingdon, and holder of the Military Medal, he died on June 1 1958. Aged 44 from Glasgow he is buried at Wayne’s Keep, the British military cemetery in Cyprus, Plot 24 Row E Grave 20.
