My late husband Tom Isbell loving kid brother of George, idoloised his older brother and George's other brothers Wally, Harold and Doug and his sisters Ethel and Rose, have told me of their love and high esteem of their brother George, for whom our son Peter George was named after. I am sure they are all looking down on Rose, the remaining member of that generation and thank her for attending the memorial on their behalf. May he rest in peace.

As the last remaining of my adored oldest brother George's siblings, I had the honour to be present at the unveiling of the Memorial to those who lost their lives in Cyprus, whilst trying to ensure the safety of the people of that beautiful Island.
George loved Cyprus and said he would like to stay there, he got his wish if not in the way he meant. A trip to Wayne Keep cemetery was also arranged and as it is in the buffer zone this is not an easy thing to do. I laid a wreath on George's grave from all the family and I felt he knew I was there. The last post was played and echoed in the still quite air.
Bless George and all my family
