David Bruce Cassidy: April 12, 1950 ... Never gone
It still tears me apart - Nov. 21, 2017 was my birthday day I'd like to forget. It'll never be forgotten. Because that's the day David left us for heaven.
I wrote this poem on April 12, 2019, on my social media for the Amazon book I wrote about his love of horses, "David Cassidy: Crazy Over You in Saratoga" - donations go to the fight against Alzheimer's because it's a fight David took in honour of his mom and grandfather:
"I can see a feather,
Floating, your flowing hair, It never lands,
Stays suspended in air.
Because you're an angel,
Never crashing, always fluttering, Keeping hearts pulsing,
From April 12, 1950, onward,
The day you changed our world."
