Centenary Garden

The Centenary Garden was created in 2016 to mark ‘A Century of Care’.  The Garden is situated on the Erskine Estate in Bishopton and offers a beautiful place for residents, their families, visitors, staff, and the wider community to enjoy spending time, be it for walks, for quiet reflection or simply to enjoy spending time in a tranquil and scenic space.

The Garden features a paved memorial walkway which winds through woodland filled with trees, shrubs and wild flowers. It brings together three existing memorial sites, ‘The Regimental Walls of Scotland’, ‘Japanese Prisoners of War Memorial’, and ‘The Lost Gardeners of The Great War’ and offers veterans the chance to enjoy time with family and friends and encourages physical activity. Sensory features specifically designed for those with dementia and the wide non-slip walkway ensure the garden is inclusive of the needs of every veteran at Erskine.
