Edmund Rogers, a labourer from Over Wallop Hampshire, enlisted in the 52nd Regiment aged 19 years in April 1914.

After Waterloo he remained in the Army until 1837 and saw service in France, Portugal and on Gibraltar.

On discharge he returned to his home village where he died aged 70 years.
