Every year at this time, Highland Hospice invites our supporters to sponsor a light on one of our Christmas trees and light up the Highlands in memory of a loved one or in support of the Hospice. This year, so much of what we take for granted has been curtailed – time with family, holidays, work, school, weddings, and even funerals. As we approach Christmas and the end of 2020 there is still uncertainty. It is difficult to make plans but we all still want Christmas to be a time of hope, light and, yes, perhaps even a little sparkle. Maybe we can’t be together as families in our homes or as Hospice supporters gathered round a tree, but we can still remember our loved ones and honour our friends by lighting up the Highlands together.
We invite you to sponsor a light this Christmas and to join us online at 6pm on December 1st to celebrate the lives of those we love, and look forward to the season of peace and goodwill. We will have trees in Falcon Square, Inverness, next to our café In the City in the Eastgate Centre, and outside the Hospice Inpatient Unit for our staff, patients and visitors to enjoy.
