I first heard John speak in 2002 when I was extremely new to practice ownership, and very uncertain.  I still clearly remember his patient way to explain (what seemed like) the most complicated financial calculations, and his generosity in sharing his knowledge and tools.

Over the years, he has continued to add value whenever he could, and I can't imagine how many lives he's touched, and how much gratitude there is out there for him.  Having been privileged to briefly see the family man, it was apparent that he was just a loving, delightful, caring and giving person through and through.

Goodbye to the Grandfather of Veterinary Business Management x

In 1996, the year after I graduated I bought the only book on veterinary business I could find written by someone called John Sheridan and Owen McCafferty. I was enthralled by it and it inspired me to study for an MBA. I told John this 8 years ago after my dad died as I felt it was a pity not to get around to telling people how much of an influence they have had on your life, until it is too late.

I have kept that book on my shelf ever since
