Story by: Laughter Africa

Date added: 15 Feb 2018

Abdulai is 12 years old. We first met him in November 2017 at the mobile project. He had been on the streets for 2 months. The reason he went on the streets was because his aunt gave him water to sell. Unfortunately he misplaced the money and he was afraid of returning back home. According to him life on the streets is dangerous as he was exposed to so many dangers as he was always beaten by the older streets children living on the streets. He said they would spray pepper water on his face and steal his money. He was later reunified with his mother in December 2017 in the provinces. In January 2018, we paid his school fees. As of now, he is still at home and attending school.

Throughout 2018, Abdulia remained at home and attended school. We paid school fees for him again in September 2018. As of February 2019, he remains at home. We never have complaints about him from either his school or family.
