Date added: 14 Mar 2017

We first met Abubakarr in mid February 2017. Abubakarr B is 12 years old. He said that this was his first time on the streets. He said that his step mother was constantly abusing him physically. His stepmother would also insult his biological mother Abubakarr said that his mother and father are separated. Eventually he decided to live with his father again so in March 2017, we reunified him with his dad.

He came to the party to celebrate the international day of street children in mid April 2017.

We paid school for him in May 2017 but he returned to us in June complaining that he could no longer live with his stepmother. We reunified him with his mother in the provinces instead in the middle of June 2017. He is still at home at the end of June 2017.

Since June 2017 until the end of February 2018, Abubakarr has stayed home without returning to the streets. We paid school fees for him in September 2017 and he is doing very well at school. We saw him at Christmas 2017 when he came for a visit.

Throughout 2018, Abubakarr remained at home and school without returning to the streets. We paid school for him again in September 2018. As of February 2019, he is still at home and attending school. We never receive any complaints about him and he is making good progress.
