Thank you,

I had the privilege of being Graham Blondel's RSM in 3 Armd Div HQ & Sig Regt, Soest during the mid eighties.  An effervescent character who had tremendous sense of humour.  He worked tirelessly for various charities and always made himself available to help those in need.  One incident that comes to mind in his endeavours to raise money was during an RSM's parade when, he and one other, dressed in drag came skipping on to the square with a big box of chocolates to plant a kiss on my cheek and present me with the box.  What they didn't know was I had got wind of this and had arranged for three of my RP staff to be dressed as gorillas and hidden behind a hedge.  Once the kiss had been planted, they were whipped off to the guard room.  The box of chocolates was subsequently auctioned off and the whole stunt raised a significant amount for Great Ormond Street Hospital. This was just one of many ingenious methods Graham adopted to raise funds for the many charities he helped.  He will be sorely missed by all that knew him.  RIP Graham.   Rick Licence.
