I was thrilled to be asked to be a reader at the St Paul's Cathedral service. I read the words of Sgt William Lawrence of the 40th Regiment Of Foot (2nd Somersetshire). Sgt Lawrence was in the same regiment and battalion as my great great grandfather, Sergeant Richard Babey. The photo is of me and my wife Sue at the reception after the service. It was a memorable day for both of us as it was our 38th wedding anniversary as well.
