This online book of condolence is provided by Blue Mountains City Council to enable residents and the broader Blue Mountains community to express their sentiments in memory of the victims of the Christchurch mosque’s terrorist attack on Friday 15 March 2019.

They were fathers, mothers, grandparents, daughters and sons, aunties, uncles, community leaders, and friends. Each and every one of them should have returned home safe to their families. Those injured, some of whom remain in a critical condition, are also in our hearts.

Please join me in this gesture of support for New Zealand and Muslim communities more broadly.

We reject hatred, intolerance and bigotry. We will strengthen our resolve to strive for a safe, inclusive community - locally and globally - and to stand united for a kinder future. Together, we deepen our commitment to lead by example in our own communities.

Thank you
