Remembered by: William Turnbull

Date added: 28 Aug 2008

Brian passed away on 14 August after a period of illness. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He was a gentleman who will be fondly remembered for his loyalty to and affection for his wife Diane. He was an RAF officer through and through and enjoyed every moment he served - he had an exceptional memory of dates and places and could recount many an escapade or event that he was involved with during his service.
Brian was a gregarious person who fitted in with all company whether it be the young or old. He was a great lover of red wine and in particular Rioja. A tipple of brandy or barcardi and rum would not go amiss either. Always willing to learn something new, following the purchase of his computer he attended numerous courses at the local college to bring himself up to speed. Unfortunately, there were times when the computer would just say 'no' which resulted in a change to Brian's normal placid personality.

I knew Brian for nearly 30 years both in and out of the RAF and can say he was a very good friend who enriched the lives of all his friends and colleagues.

Brian will be sadly missed by all but never forgotten.
