Jack Diggens

Jack joined the RAF at the beginning of the war, evacuated from France in 1940 and then posted to Canada he spent most of the war based at Kingston Ontario.

After serving for six and a half years he joined the railways as a signalman and worked until retirement beckoned in 1987.

Married to Iris in 1950 their long and happy marriage lasted for 59 years and they had two children, Andrew in 1958 and Julia in 1961.

Jack passed away on 23rd September 2009 after a long illness. He is a much loved and missed husband and father.
