Remembered by: Michael's Family

Date added: 12 Feb 2012

Thanksgiving Service
Michael (Dad or Pompa) died after a short illness, on Friday the 10th of February. At his request, and our absolute delight, a Thanksgiving Service will be held for him on Saturday the 3rd of March 2012 at St. Lalluwy’s Church, Menheniot at 12.30 p.m.

The request was that everyone should be in bright clothing as this should be a Thanksgiving Service and not a Mourning.
After the service, there was a request for a ‘Happy Wake’ in the Quethiock School.

We will do our best to oblige on all counts.

Directions
The Church is in the centre of the village.
For those with Sat Nav typing in Menheniot should suffice.
For those coming from East should head West into Cornwall on the A38. After crossing over the Tamar Bridge, go through the villages of Landrake and Tideford and thereafter follow the signposts!

Those wishing to stay
There are some great B&Bs to be found in Kingsand/Cawsand area (close to Edward and Moi) at www.crabpot.co.uk
More hotels can be found going onto www.booking.com

Although nothing is formally planned we may well meet up on the Sunday with those staying and have a walk or a pub lunch.

Celebrating Michael’s Life
To celebrate Michael’s life, we have at his request, set up an online celebration for him on this website the inspiration for which came some years after David’s death.

Please feel free to use this page to contribute your own special memories of Michael, perhaps even with a photograph that we may not have seen before.

The page will serve as an enduring testimonial to him and a touching record for generations to come. As you will see, a direct link has been provided to the RAF Benevolent Fund where Michael wished donations in lieu of flowers to be made. For those preferring not to donate online there will be pew envelopes in the Church.   If any more information is required about the arrangements then please drop Jonathan an email at jonathan@friendsandrelations.com
