Remembered by: Alison Lowe

Date added: 1 Feb 2010

Gordon was a navigator in the air force, and crashed on return from Germany. He suffered multiple fractures to his face and jaw and a double pneumo-thorax. He spent twelve months in East Grinstead Hospital before being invalided out of the force.

He lived in Southport, Married Peggy and moved to the Lake District where they ran a successful restaurant before retiring. He loved gardening and had a daughter (Alison), grand-daughter (Justine), and three great grandsons (Jake, Billy and Harry). He had many friends and was highly thought of by all that knew him.

Loved and remembered always. Gordon John Lowe 1918-2009. His ashes are buried in St Thomas’ Church, Milnthorpe.
